Design and Implementation of Expert Collaborative Knowledge Production System for Full Process Management: Genealogy Joint Cataloging System
Zhu Wuxin, Xia Cuijuan, Wu Jianwei (Shanghai Library)
Libraly Journal. 2024, 43 (400): 4-12.
In
the age of digital intelligence, traditional cataloging systems are facing
challenges and are unable to meet the requirements for knowledge production
based on intelligent data generation. The Shanghai Library has improved the
traditional cataloging process, incorporated the concept of expert
collaborative knowledge production and full-process management based on the
concept of crowdsourcing, and designed an expert collaborative knowledge
production system for full-process management— the Genealogy Joint Cataloging
System. This system could realize the standard control across network domains
in the cataloging process by using the existing basic knowledge base of people,
institutions, places, times, events, etc. of the Library. Genealogy cataloging
experts from different institutions can share basic knowledge. The existing
knowledge in the library can jointly supplement and enrich the knowledge
missing in the cataloging process, build knowledge associations and semantic
links in real time, and connect the cataloging process and knowledge production
with the genealogy knowledge service platform, so that knowledge production and
knowledge services are seamlessly linked. Together, we have achieved
full-process management of procurement, donation, description, duplication
checking, quality inspection, normative control, knowledge services, and
related data release. On this basis, the path of AI genealogy cataloging data
review based on the big language model was explored.

Libraly Journal. 2024, 43 (400): 13-22.
of
water conservancy construction. Especially in the war period when the northwest
region became the “big backyard”, there appeared the water administrations of
modern sense in these three provinces. A series of water conservancy projects
were carried out, and a large number of northwest sub-provincial water
conservancy files were produced. The vast majority of these files were the
working files of the water conservancy committees of Xinjiang, Gansu and
Ningxia Provinces back then, which were highly specialized and oriented to a
smaller group of scholars. On the basis of elaborating the necessity of corpus
technology in the management and research of modern water conservancy archives,
this study designs and builds a corpus of “Republic of China Northwest Frontier
Water Conservancy Archives”, and initially realizes the intelligent search and knowledge
mining for the archives. Taking “Ningxia Water Conservancy Commission Archives”
as an example, this study demonstrates the critical role of corpus in the study
of modern water conservancy history of Northwest China.

Libraly Journal. 2024, 43 (400): 34-45.
This
paper carries out knowledge organization research on the collection’s
bibliographic data, reveals the hidden knowledge within the data and the
relationship between the knowledge, in order to better meet the needs of the conversion
of CNMARC and the implementation of BIBFRAME. The research constructs an
ontology of collection bibliographic data and reuses BIBFRAME ontology.
Firstly, the mapping of classes, subclasses, and attributes of the collection’s
bibliographic data to BIBFRAME fields was investigated and the conceptual model
was drawn from the work layer, the instance layer, the single-piece layer, and
the connection field respectively. Secondly, the constructed bibliographic data
ontology was visualized using Protégé, and Neo4j was used to implement the
storage and querying of the bibliographic data ontology for the book and
journal categories respectively. Based on BIBFRAME and in the process of
knowledge organization of bibliographic data in the collection, some problems
in the conversion process of CNMARC to BIBFRAME in China are sorted out and
solved. The knowledge organization, associated storage, visualization and query
of bibliographic data in the collection are finally realized.

Deconstruction and Activation: Research on Multi-Granularity Knowledge Service Model for Local Gazetteers Based on Dual Perspectives
Li Anrunze, Niu Li, Zheng Jinyue ( School of Information Resource Management, Renmin University of China, Office of Local Chronicles Compilation, Zhejiang Province)
Libraly Journal. 2024, 43 (400): 111-122.
The local gazetteers, as a unique cultural heritage and precious collection in China, carry the complete cultural context of specific regions, providing new research perspectives and evidence for humanities scholars. With rich and multifaceted characteristics and significant knowledge value, the content of local gazetteers possesses granularity. Hence, on a methodological level, we first propose a multi-granularity knowledge service model based on a dual perspective approach. From the provider’s standpoint, we explore the incremental deconstruction of content according to different granularities. Then from the recipient’s perspective, we investigate how to cater to diverse needs in knowledge services based on content granularities. At the empirical validation level, using the case study of The Impressions of West Lake in the ‘Zhejiang Tong Zhi’, we examine the scientific and practical viability of the proposed model. This examination offers a reference for enhancing the utilization of local gazetteers, understanding regional developmental trajectories, and facilitating the transmission and dissemination of regional culture.

Exploring the Factors Influencing Public Participation Behavior in Open Data Contests of Digital Humanities
Liu Zhouying, Zhao Yuxiang, Zhang Yan, Zhang Xuanhui, Zhu Qinghua ( Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Nanjing Forestry University, School of Information Management, Nanjing University, Research Institute for Data Management and Innovation, Nanjing University)
Libraly Journal. 2024, 43 (400): 123-135.
Digital
humanities open data contests are an effective and innovative way to realize
the value of cultural data through the power of the public. This paper explores
the influence path of public participation in digital humanities open data
contests, and provides suggestions for the design and organization of such
contests. Based on Self-determination Theory and Social Support Theory, this
paper constructs a model of factors influencing public participation behavior
from three aspects: contest task design, reward setting and social support.
Then using structural equation modeling to reveal the specific influence of
related factors on public participation behavior. In terms of contest task
design, the higher the sense of competence and relatedness is, the stronger the
participation intention will be. In terms of contest reward setting, the amount
of the reward positively affects the public’s intention to participate, and the
relationship between the reward gap and participation intention is in an
“inverted U-shape”. In the process of transforming participation intention into
participation behavior, social support plays an important moderating role. The
moderating effects, ranked in descending order, are community support, peer
support, and organizational support. This study enriches the theoretical
foundation of public participation behavior in digital humanities open data
contests and provides corresponding design and management suggestions for the
contests.

Zhang Zhidong’s “Tong Jing” Thought and the Bibliography Classification Analysis of “Jing” in the Shu Mu Da Wen
Fang Liang (School of Information Management, Nanjing University)
Libraly Journal. 2024, 43 (400): 136-142.
Based
on his idea of “Tong Jing”, namely regarded Jing as the fundamental foundation
for governing a country and society, Zhang Zhidong changed the classification
principle of ancient bibliographies of “gathering and transmitting one classical
book as one category” and the description standard “in chronological order” to
line up the list of Jing documents. Firstly, Shu Mu Da Wen distinguished
between “Jing” and “Jing Shuo”, establishing that “Zheng Jing” have axiomatic
premise and are also the object and basis of all “Jing Shuo”; Secondly, it
distinguishes the “Jing Shuo” into “Gu Zhu” and “Jing Shu” of subsequent
dynasty, the former is a model of “Jing Shuo”, so it is also called “Zheng
Zhu”, and has become the benchmark for the latter. As a result, the academic
evolution from “Zheng Jing” to “Zheng Zhu” and then to the “Jing Shuo” of the
dynasties demonstrate the characteristics of the process from source to stream.
Conversely, tracing the origin of the “Jing Shuo” to the “Zheng Zhu” and then
to the “Zheng Jing” has become the only way to “Tong Jing” and highlighted the
value of the Confucian classics. At least as far as the “Jing” is concerned,
the academic appeal of “Tong Jing” is more essential than the logic of
bibliography itself, which restricts the bibliography and classification of the Shu Mu Da Wen.

The Sharing of Medical Knowledge in the Qing Dynasty Through the Medicine Authorized Books of the Si Ku Quan Shu Zong Mu
Li Ruijin (School of History and Culture, Central China Normal University)
Libraly Journal. 2024, 43 (400): 143-154.
Si
Ku Quan Shu Zong Mu records the information about 197 medical books which are
collected from the edict book, the Yong Le Da Dian book, the internal
collection book, the popular book, the provincial book, and the private book.
The provincial book and private book accounting for 48.71% and 25.41%
respectively, constituting the main source of medical books. The quantitative
examination of the geographical jurisdiction and the Doctor’s native place can
reflect the prosperity of the development of traditional medicine in Jiangnan
area which mainly include Jiangsu, Anhui and Zhejiang provinces from the Ming
Dynasty to the mid-Qing Dynasty. As an activity initiated by government, in the
process of compilation of the Si Ku Quan Shu Zong Mu, the central
government brought some books scattered throughout the ages together for
unified collation and compilation, and assumed the role of a “think tank” for
the knowledge society of the Qing dynasty as a large knowledge collection. The
publication of these books has allowed the medical classics to be revived. The
opening of the South Three Pavilions to the public also provide the convenience
of sharing traditional medical knowledge, which in turn promoted the
development of traditional medicine in Jiangnan area during the Qing Dynasty. Si
Ku Quan Shu Zong Mu built a medical knowledge sharing framework and provide
a path for medical practitioners to grasp medical texts and medical academic
research
