Practice and Exploration of Cultural and Tourism Integration in Grassroots Public Libraries: Taking Xiang’an District Library as an Example

Abstract:

Grassroots public libraries are an important component of the socialist public cultural service system, and promoting the integrated development of culture and tourism is the trend and responsibility. This article takes the cultural and tourism integration practice of Xiang’an District Library, one of the first pilot units for the functional integration of cultural and tourism public service institutions in China, as an example, to explain that grassroots public libraries should comprehensively promote the development of cultural and tourism integration from the “six integrations” of team, venue, platform, business, activity, and project, in accordance with the requirements of “appropriate integration, and integration as much as possible”. It also preliminarily explores the path and method of cultural and tourism integration in grassroots public libraries, and summarizes the experience and inspiration of pilot work, aiming to provide a reference for grassroots public libraries to promote cultural and tourism integration.
