Abstract:

This paper carries out knowledge organization research on the collection’s bibliographic data, reveals the hidden knowledge within the data and the relationship between the knowledge, in order to better meet the needs of the conversion of CNMARC and the implementation of BIBFRAME. The research constructs an ontology of collection bibliographic data and reuses BIBFRAME ontology. Firstly, the mapping of classes, subclasses, and attributes of the collection’s bibliographic data to BIBFRAME fields was investigated and the conceptual model was drawn from the work layer, the instance layer, the single-piece layer, and the connection field respectively. Secondly, the constructed bibliographic data ontology was visualized using Protégé, and Neo4j was used to implement the storage and querying of the bibliographic data ontology for the book and journal categories respectively. Based on BIBFRAME and in the process of knowledge organization of bibliographic data in the collection, some problems in the conversion process of CNMARC to BIBFRAME in China are sorted out and solved. The knowledge organization, associated storage, visualization and query of bibliographic data in the collection are finally realized.
