A Comparative Study on the Grading Standards
of Adolescents’ Extracurricular Independent
Reading
Shen Yiyuan, Yuan Xilin
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (11): 13-22.
Independent reading refers to the free and independent reading of readers according to their
own interests. Independent reading can promote the formation of adolescents’ self-development ability.
Limited by the current situation of our country’s education and the Internet environment, teenagers’
independent reading is not satisfactory. This paper makes a study of the foreign literary translations from
the recommended reading bibliography of Chinese Curriculum Criteria. According to the three foreign
classification criteria of A-Z grading, DRA and Lexile, it evaluates the English original works by grading. The
results show that the recommended bibliography of the existing Chinese curriculum standard is too general.
There is a lack of definite reading grading and corresponding reading guidance suggestions. Therefore, one
of the important measures to promote teenagers’ independent reading is to gradually establish the Chinese
reading grading standards, promote extensive collaboration among schools, libraries and publishing houses,
and put the study of reading grading truly on the agenda, so as to truly help adolescent readers develop the
habit of independent reading.

The Integrated Development of “Library +
Tourism”: Practices and Attractive Factors
Li Yang
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (11): 23-29.
As a cultural and information institution, libraries are indispensable cultural landscapes in the
city. Libraries are playing an increasingly role in tourism services, extending the service function of the
library, which is identified as “Library + Tourism” trend here. This paper introduces the current status about
the new practices of how libraries are integrating with tourism industry in China, to explore a new path of
sustainable development and to enhance the competitiveness of libraries. This paper uses case study and
multifaceted approaches to identify four types of “Library + Tourism” practices, which are information
services, humanistic landmarks, integration of study tours, and industrial cooperation. By examining and
comparing the essential factors of these four types, a new “Library Tourism Attraction Index System” is
developed in this paper, exploring the unique aspects of “Library + Tourism”. Natural attraction, humanistic
attraction, social attraction and service attraction are the core elements of the “Library Tourism Attraction
Index System”. We want to gain insights into the best way to integrate libraries with tourism, generating
a richer picture of the sustainable development of library space utilization, knowledge dissemination and
public cultural service.

Research on the Identification of University
Library’s Frequently Utilizated Reference
Books Based on Machine Learning Methods
Xu Mengyu, Cheng Weihua, Zhang Jilong
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (11): 44-45.
The support services related to reference books is one important task of university libraries.
The prerequisite of carrying out that is to identify the frequently utilized reference books. Based on
machine learning methods and massive dynamic data about user behaviors, this paper first constructs
seven-dimensional feature sets about borrower types, borrowing time and utilization rate to establish the
identification model of frequently utilized reference books. In the experiment session, Support Vector
Machine, Decision Tree, Random Forest and XGBoost algorithm are selected for comparison. Among
them, XGBoost algorithm yields the best experimental performance. To be specific, its precision,
recall and F1-score are 0.849, 0.906, 0.876. In summary, we obtain good identification result in this
paper.

Research on the Dynamic Mechanism of Urban
Reading Space Construction upon Cooperation
between Government and Society
Qian Lanla
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (11): 66-73.
Government-led and extensive participation of social forces in the construction and operation of
urban reading spaces have become a new form of promoting the public cultural service system development.
The article analyzes the driving forces of urban reading space construction upon government-community
cooperation from the three perspectives, namely, national policy drive, government transformation drive
and social demand drive, and sorts out the effects of urban reading space construction in Hefei. It points
out that the city is driven by the two-wheel drive of government and society. The main cause of the lack
of motivation for reading space construction are the limited motivation of social forces to innovate, the
imbalance of construction and operation subjects, the single actor of evaluation and supervision, and the
slow effectiveness of publicity and promotion. In view of the dual role of the government system reform
and the construction of the public cultural service system, it proposes to improve the rewards and incentives
mechanism to stimulate innovation and vitality, improve the communication and coordination mechanism,
pay attention to the cultivation of social forces, reduce administrative intervention, promote the separation
of management from evaluation, pay attention to publicity and promotion, and adhere to a characteristic
and differentiated path of development.

The Application of Key Words Extraction in
Pre-Qin Ancient Chinese: Taking the Spring
and Autumn Annals as an Example for Digital
Humanities
Qin Heran, Wang Dongbo
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (11): 97-105.
As an interdisciplinary subject, Digital Humanities emphasizes the integration and development
of computing technology and humanities. Ancient Chinese classics is an important part of the study of
humanities. In this context, we use computer technology to extract keywords from the digitized classics
of the Spring and Autumn period, so as to analyze the distribution of keywords in the classics of the
Spring and Autumn period. In this paper, three keyword extraction algorithms are used, which are based
on unsupervised textrank algorithm, traditional TF-IDF algorithm and LDA topic model algorithm. Based
on evaluation method of pooling, it is found that textrank algorithm can extract better keywords with an
accuracy of 84%. The accuracy of traditional TF-IDF algorithm and LDA topic model algorithm is 62% and
74% respectively. At the same time, according to the keywords drawn out, we can find that the chronicles of
the Spring and Autumn period mainly focus on the interrogation, alliance, expedition, marriage and funeral,
usurpation and killing among the vassal states.

Interpretation of Gu Cheng’s Poetry for Digital
Humanities: Based on Word Frequency Analysis
Zhao Xiaoke, Ding Xuhui, Fu Zhu
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (11): 106-119.
Using bibliometric methods for “quantitative” interpretation and analysis of Chinese modern
literary works, the paper provides new paradigms and ideas for digital humanities research. Taking Gu Cheng’s
poetry as an example, we revised and expanded Gu’s own phasing of his creation. Then, we statistically
analyzed Gu’s poems at different stages combining Gu Cheng’s biography. Finally, we used the word
frequency analysis method (WFAM) for Gu’s poems from both an overall perspective and from each phase on
Chinese word segmentation of poetry text corpus. The four stages of Gu’s poems creation were expanded into
six stages. The quantity changes and the reasons of Gu’s poems creation at each stage were analyzed by using
statistical analysis method. The overall theme and style and the evolution at all stages was revealed by using
WFAM. The analysis results show that using WFAM could more objectively interpret and analyze the creative
theme and style of modern literary works. The results have some due to authors, technology, data, etc.

Research on the Missing Proses of Ma Cun: An
Important Omission in Complete Collection of
the Song Dynasty
Huang Wenhan
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (11): 120-127.
Complete Collection of the Song Dynasty compiled by contemporary scholars has unearthed
many missing works of the Song Dynasty. However, they have ignored the articles of Ma Cun, an
influential writer. Due to Yuanyou’s political storm, Ma Cun’s anthology was banned. Later generations
re-edited various editions of Ma Cun’s anthologies, which eventually disappeared in the Qing Dynasty.
Seven missing articles of Ma Cun are founded in this paper. They are “The Story of Haozhai”, “The Story
of Dengying Pavilion”, “The Story of Yingxuntang”, “Farewell of Chen Ziran to the West”, “Comment of
Zichang to Gai Bangshi”, “Letter to Hou Meng ” and “ Letter to Yu Yanming”. These works are scattered in
various collections of articles, genres, and local chronicles in the Southern Song and later generations. Ma
Cun’s writings are characterized by magnificence and aura.
