Zhou Yujiao, Tian Chen, Wu Wenjie, Zeng Xiao, Ren Xue
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (12): 14-19.
Since the 21st century, the most common classification of ancient books conservation are
primordial conservation and regeneration conservation. Along with the social development, it is necessary to
incorporate the intangible cultural heritage conservation to the ancient books conservation. According to the
concept of the cultural inheritance, the conservation of ancient books is extended to heredity conservation.
The concept of hereditary conservation is rooted in intangible cultural heritage, whereas its form is
live transmission, made up of inheritance subject, inheritance site, inheritance content, and inheritance
method. The essence of the hereditary conservation is that the ancient books conservation practitioners
and enthusiasts will promote in various ways, demonstrate through exhibition, lecture, experience, folk
custom demonstration, Internet communication, and cultural and creative development, and interpret the
fine traditional culture, academic connotation and art contained in ancient books. Hereditary conservation
involves more extensive participation and exerts more profound influence. It is urgent to identify and study
the hereditary conservation of ancient books in order to jointly promote the development of ancient book
conservation.

Research on Data Extraction from Annual Reports of
Public Cultural Service Institutions in the Multi-source Data
Environment
Liu Shiyang, Wang Weiwei, Hua Bolin
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (12): 52-60.
On one hand, public cultural service agencies are rich in data resources but have difficulty in
integrating them. On the other hand, the public culture sector lacks macro management data. The annual
reports contain rich data such as venue information, event data, and business data, while the data quality of
annual reports is relatively high, making these reports an important data source for public cultural services.
How to extract data from annual reports and integrate them effectively have become an important research
task in the multi-source data environment. The authors compile a crawler program to download annual
reports, identify the PDF file format, summarize the text structure and the context characteristics of specific
data, and use regular expressions to set up templates, and to match and extract various annual report data.
In this paper, three sets of templates are designed for different types of data items such as data located in
paragraph headings, data with obvious numerical characteristics, and memorabilia with a fixed and unified
format, and better matching and extraction results were achieved.

Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (12): 71-73.
Libraries, by providing different information services to promote learning, reading and
research of target users, have an irreplaceable position in both daily life and in academic research. The
University of Macau Library (UM Library), as the largest library in Macau, is a typical one that serve both
purposes. This report aims to explore the reference services and information literacy programs provided
by UM Library and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of two services. Literature review of past
research on reference service and information literacy program in academic libraries, and their evaluation
models and indicators are covered. In order to have a more in-depth evaluation of UM Library’s service
quality and of their response to critical incidents, an email inquiry, which resembles a reference service
request, was sent during the outbreak of COVID-19. It also compared the expectation and perception before
and after the interaction. Based on the open data of the UM Library, the paper conducted SWOT and
Quality Assessment of Performance (QAP) analysis to assess the target services. Then, some suggestions
related to the service improvement of services were generated ensuing the analysis. For future studies on
academic library performance evaluation, the researchers can consider adopting the analytical models and
frameworks applied or mentioned in this report.

Libraries Abroad
Zhang Qiaona
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (12): 83-88.
The deep integration of culture and tourism is the new mission faced by domestic public
libraries in the new era. With the development of study tour, it is a direction for public libraries to provide
service of study tour from a practical perspective as a measure to integrate culture and tourism. This paper
analyses the specific practices of public libraries in U.K., the United States and Japan in such projects as
“Off The Map” “Every Kid in a Park” “Museum Start i-Ueno” and Glasgow women’s historical travel. It
summarizes four lessons drawn from the practice, namely, using technology to promote service, valueadded
study tour experience, reflecting product differences and developing characteristic trips. Finally, this
paper puts forward four suggestions to promote libraries in carrying out study tour services from the actual
situation of domestic public libraries: to establish a correct concept of integration and develop with the help
of synergistic advantages, to provide study tour reference and add value to the experience of study tour,
to refine the library’s characteristic elements to make itself a study tour destination, and to develop from
tourism to study tour and build the brand of library activities.

Practices of Digital Humanities Cooperation:
Taking the Design and Implementation of
Chinese Phonology Database Sharing Research
Platform as an Example.
Nie Na, Zhai Xiaojuan, Ma Yinning
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (12): 89-97.
Taking the collaborative research of humanities, libraries, and other disciplines in the design
and implementation of the Chinese Phonology Database Sharing Research Platform as an example, the
paper describes the internal research of humanities, the cooperation between libraries and humanities, and
the cooperation between other disciplines. Starting from the “problems”, and extending the “user-centered”
concept, it explains the significance of cooperation between library and humanities. From the four aspects,
namely, resources, data management and storage space, platform and user aggregation, and personnel
structure, it elaborates on the advantages and irreplaceability of the library in digital humanities cooperation
research. It regards library as a natural digital humanities incubator, and believes that the in-depth cooperation
between library and humanities will make it easier to achieve the balance and practicality between “digital”
and “humanities”, helping to promote digital humanities projects on the application level.

Research on the Influential Factors of Public
Perception and Attitudes to the COVID-19:
Based on the Citizen Survey of Shanghai
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (12): 98-106.
Finding the influential factors on the public perception and attitude towards the COVID-19
is conducive to improving the working mechanism for preventing and fighting the epidemic, reducing the
interference of the epidemic on the production and life, and helping the government to introduce more
targeted policies. Based on the survey results of the The Reaction of COVID-19 in Shanghai, this article
took the public perception of the epidemic as the target variable, and used 12 variables such as occupation
and education level as explanatory variables. Based on the CART and XGBoost model, we found out
the important variables that cause the public to have different perceptions and attitudes, and re-evaluated
whether the selected variables were reliable according to the model effect. With the help of association
rules, the citizens affected by the COVID-19 were analyzed to identify the characteristics of this group.
As the results showed, the expectation of income change as a result of the COVID-19, age and other
variables were the main factors affecting perceived attitude. Therefore, judging the public’s psychological
expectations, empathetic pain, and blind optimism or excessive pessimism are the key points that should be
paid attention to at present. In addition, it is believed that people who think that the epidemic has an impact
on life will generally spend a long time paying attention to the information of the epidemic, which will put
too much pressure on themselves. They may have better education and be in good physical fitness, which
means they may be more sensitive to the risk. Based on the findings above, this article comes up with some
suggestions, such as strengthening employment guidance for the high-risk unemployed groups, making
full use of new media publicity methods, and conducting appropriate psychological interventions on some
specific groups.

Analysis of Digital Viability of Urban Residents
during COVID-19: Based on the Citizen Survey
of Shanghai
Li Qian, Xu Xin
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (12): 107-116.
Because of the COVID-19, more people are faced with the opportunities and challenges of
digital survival. Combined with the new digital divide theory, this paper discusses the factors that affect
the digital viability of users. This will help coordinate all parties involved to help residents use digital
technology and network skills more flexibly to adapt to the living environment, improve their digital survival
ability, and meet their needs of learning, work and life in the digital era. This study found that in Shanghai,
a modern city with mature network infrastructure, there remains a multi-level ladder of digital inequality,
despite the decreasing gap in terms of information and communication equipment. This inequality is
embodied in the differences of digital viability due to various factors such as individual characteristics and
family characteristics. It thus proposed to promote digital education while reinforcing digital governance,
and to encourage younger generation to help the older.

Research on Executives’ Risk Perception and
Behavior Choice to the COVID-19
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (12): 117-127.
Exploring how executives perceive risk and take actions during the outbreak of novel
coronavirus pneumonia can help governments and relevant departments develop targeted measures,
optimize enterprises’ response to the epidemic, and reduce the adverse impact of the epidemic on economic
development. This paper first put forth assumptions based on the research of existing literature, and
then identified society, finance, psychology, and health risk perception of executives as the independent
variables, whereas executives’ actions during epidemic as the dependent variables, to construct a structural
equation model to verify the proposed hypothesis. The study found that the financial and psychological
risk perceptions of enterprise managers in the epidemic had a significant positive effect on positive
epidemic prevention and anti-epidemic behavior, while the social and health risk perceptions a significant
negative effect. Finally, it put forward suggestions that we should appropriately control the financial and
psychological risks of enterprise managers and minimize social and health risks as much as possible.

Trust in the Early Stage of Major Public Health
Emergencies
Xu Xianglong, Xu Xin
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (12): 128-136.
Public government trust is critically important under major public health emergencies. This
paper analyzes the mechanism of information communication factors on government trust, and enriches the
existing research theories. Using the COVID-2019 survey jointly launched by the Shanghai Government
Development Research Center and Peng Pai Research Institute, based on the 146 081 sample data and
OLS regression method, this paper empirically analyzes the impact of public information concern, media
trust and public government information disclosure satisfaction on government trust. The results show that
public information concern about COVID-2019 has a negative impact on government trust, and the central
government media trust, local government media trust and public information disclosure satisfaction have
a positive moderation effect on public information concern and government trust, while social media trust
has no significant moderation effect. From the perspective of information dissemination, this paper puts
forward serveral policy recommendations to enhance government trust.

The Re-discussion of Zhejiang Original Copy and
Its Process of Completion: A Preliminary Study
on the Fragmented Manuscripts of Catalogue of
Siku in Nanjing Library
Han Chao
Libraly Journal. 2020, 39 (12): 163-171.
There is a fragmented red grid manuscript of Catalogue of Siku collected in Nanjing Library.
It is written in ink, style of Gong Kai, official script, and proofread in red and black. Its number of lines and
words is in line with the original copy of the Siku. The author compares it with four copies: the manuscript of
Catalogue of Siku revised by Ji Xiaolan in Tianjin Library, the original manuscript of the Siku by Wenyuge,
the copy of Zhejiang and the copy of Wuyingdian. It is found that the copy of Zhejiang is consistent with
the copy in Nanjing Library, but different from the manuscript of Wenlan and Tianjin Library. In particular,
given that some irrelevant and unattended texts in the copy of Zhejiang are the same as the copy of Nanjing
Library, but different from the other copies, it can be confirmed that the copy of Nanjing Library is the base
of the copy of Zhejiang. It is further proved that the copy of Zhejiang was not based on the manuscript of
Wenlan, nor its other copies annotated with text, but based on the original Catalogue of Siku written by
Siku Museum. The copy of Zhejiang is a collection, proofread on the transcript of Wenlan, and included the
proofreading of Lu and Wang
