Research on the Level of Fit between Reading Promotion Efforts and Students’ Needs in University Libraries: Based on the Survey from Eight Universities in Jiaodong Peninsula

Abstract: Based on the reading needs of college students, it is an effective way to promote campus reading culture to innovate reading promotion activities.This paper introduces the induced-fit theory, investigates college students’ personalized reading needs and their participation in reading promotion activities, and reveals the potential of elevated level of fit between college students’ personalized reading needs and library’s reading promotion. According to the characteristics of reading personalization and the nature of reading promotion activities, this paper puts forward six improvement measures.
