The Shanghai Library Council was founded in October 2014. It is a decision-making,consultancy, supervision and administration body of Shanghai Library. After two years of practices, the Council plays a positive role in the development and operation of Shanghai Library, but also encounters problems such as the imperfect coordinative system, and the lack of training and honor system for council members, which need to be solved in the further.

This paper analyzes the relevant legal policies on the construction of the national library board of trustees in UK, France, Germany, Australia, India, Singapore and South Africa. It summarizes beneficial experience in the establishment, operation and management of the public library board of trustees in United
States, Britain, and Singapore.

This paper acquired the first-hand and second-hand data through questionnaires, field research,and literature research regarding public cultural institutions which have undergone the reform of corporate governance. Through statistics, induction, and classification, it anlayzes the data and studies the system
foundation, evaluation system, decision support and practice mode in the hope of providing reference for other cultural institutions, especially public libraries, to successfully implement reform of corporate governance in future.

After more than 30 years of development, library corporate governance has become a research hotspot and important field of library science in China, and also produced abundant research results.Based on CNKI papers and adopting quantitative analysis and visualization analysis, this paper studies the
structural features from the perspectives of literature quantity, annual distribution, publishing organizations,core authors, and research hotspots. It comprehensively demonstrates the research structure and scheme of domestic public library governance, and is expected to provide theoretical and practical reference for the future research.

The key of subject distribution research is how to determine the subject of literature. The subject can be divided into self-built subject and alternative subject, dependent on the methods. Foreign LIS subject distribution research gives priority to the self-built subject distribution research, whereas alternative
subject distribution research remains supplementary. Foreign LIS self-built subject distribution research has undergone exploration phase, the boom, and currently the new exploration phase, whereas the alternative subject distribution research can be divided into six types. The mainly adopted methods to identify subjects are taxonomies, subject thesauri, taxonomies and subject thesauri, keywords, the co-word analysis and the specific model. In the end, the paper points out that China needs to strengthen the research on the self-built subject distribution.

Data quality control runs through the whole data life cycle. Based on the typical case studies of domain specific data repositories and general data repositories, we summarize the main content of data quality control in foreign data repository which include the whole data file, documentation, actual data and code. Then we point out other stakeholders of data quality control which include researchers, academic libraries and journal publishers. Finally, we present the main problems and give suggestions for data quality control of data repositories.

By the text mining, the article discusses the characteristics of the crowdfunding projects in foreign libraries. It starts by discussing the dimensions of the crowdfunding projects, then, based on the 154 library crowdfunding projects in Kickstarter platform, uses text mining, topic identification and
correlation factor analysis to summarize the characteristics. At last, it draws conclusions on how to carry out the crowdfunding successfully in library.

Through analyzing library’s document resources, metadata, business data, site information behavioral data, and the data acquired from Internet of Things, the authors put all the data that owned by library against the background of Digital Age, be they structured, semi-structured, or unstructured. They
analyze library’s capital and capacity in Big Data Era, and point out the shortage of capital data of library,while putting forth corresponding solutions.

This paper analyzes the status of research and practice, the necessity and feasibility, and specific ways and suggestions for carrying out environmental literacy education (ELE) in academic libraries. Librarians and users are required to undergo ELE, and ELE is divided into explicit and implicit
types, with the latter being the main method. Implicit EIE includes actively supporting environmental science curriculum and research, providing a wealth of resources and information commons, green practice services, various forms of environmental education activities, platform establishment for users and the
introduction of continuously updated environmental education column.

Based on the development of the characteristic foreign literature “The China Weekly Review”,the paper introduces new attempts at foreign document development. Specifically, it introduces innovation methods such as the multilateral win-win cooperation mode, the integration of cataloging, research and
translation, and a progressive mode of thinking. It concludes with the meaning and significance with such innovation.

The construction of the literature database of the Republic of China is one of the important measures to protect the literature of that period. Although the digitalizing technology of the Republic of China literature has developed mature, many problems remain in the database construction work.
This paper, by studying and comparing the four representative databases of Shenbao, summarized their advantages and disadvantages in terms of collecting scope, retrieval and browsing functions. In light of the characteristics of the literature of Republic of China period as well as those of users, this paper discussed measures for improvement, which included coverage rate, quality of character recognition, the indexing and classification, user-friendliness of interface as well as retrieval function.

During the past 10 years, the fast development of logistics industry in China led to a research upsurge in the academic community, and made itnecessary to build logistics academic books literature system. Based on the projects sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China from 2005 to
2014, this article analyzes disciplinary fields, representative scholars and leading researches and educational institutions in terms of amount of projects and funds, disciplines, project leader, and supporting institution. Then, the hot areas of research are identified by using word frequency analysis based on the keyword and subject term of projects. Finally, the logistics academic books acquisition strategy is established accordingly.It is believed to guide the logistics academic books acquisition work effectively in future.

By analyzing the open access journals indexed by SSCI, this paper summarizes s the following characteristics: that the quantity and quality of them continue to improve; that the development among countries or disciplines is unbalanced; that they are mainly sponsored by public academic institutions; and
that Creative Commons are widely adopted and the opening and dissemination of periodicals is better.Given these basic characteristics, this paper points out that China should make full use of the operation advantage of academic journals, establish a good open access policy, and actively participate in the global publishing competition to enhance the soft power of Chinese culture.

Based on the relevant Russian literature and Chinese papers, this paper summarizes the challenges faced by the young librarian career support system at home. And with these challenges as a starting point, it introduces how Russia, through the joint effort of “Youth Library Movement in Russian”
and the RLA section of “New Generation of Librarians”, has constructed a young librarian career support system. These complementary working mechanisms to promote the capabilities of young librarian and develop young talents are not equivalent to the management in the traditional sense; instead, the practical experience focuses on team innovation, long-term guidance mechanism, innovation guidance training and innovative communication platform. Based on analysis as such, the paper gives suggestions on how to improve the construction of China’s young librarian career support system accordingly.
