Wang Shiwei (Institute of Information, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences)
Libraly Journal. 2024, 43 (395): 9-17.
Space design has become a necessary requirement for higher quality
development of libraries. The paper elaborates on the dialectical
unity view in library space design, including universality and uniqueness, holistic and internal and external
views, professional and non professional views, static and dynamic areas, and infinite possibilities of
spatial design functions. The paper discusses and analyzes at least ten elements of library space design,
including macro dimensions of urban landmarks, artistic
interpretation, cultural inheritance and internal
and external interaction, meso dimensions of professional symbols, color material selection and green
low-carbon, and micro dimensions of furniture design, lighting and safety care. The paper points out
that the new space design scheme for smart libraries is becoming a development trend.

The Theoretical Connotation and Practical Orientation
of the Integrated Development of Public Cultural Services and Tourism Public
Services
Li Yang, Li Si, Zhang Qiqi ( China Academy of Science and Education Evaluation, Hangzhou Dianzi University, Department of Infor¬mation Management, Peking University, School of Management, Hangzhou Dianzi University)
Libraly Journal. 2024, 43 (395): 18-25.
The
integration and development of public cultural services and tourism public
services is an important aspect of cultural and tourism integration, and it is
also a difficult point for the integration and development of the two. Based on
the practical needs of high-quality development of public cultural services in
China, the article clarifies the connotation of public cultural services and
tourism public services, identifies the “suitable integration areas”, and
combines relevant theories to reveal the internal logic and value of integrated
development, explaining the stages and practical directions of integrated
development. The integration and development of the two has gone through the
exploration period characterized by “facilities out of the circle and space
embedding”, the breakthrough period of “institutional integration and service
superposition”, and will enter the deepening period of “people-oriented,
host-guest sharing”. In the new era, under the guidance of the concept of “taking
the people as the center”, we should promote the integration of ideas,
resources, services, platforms and standards in an integrated way to achieve
the deeper integration and development of the two.

A Study of Automated Deep Classification of Literature Based on Chinese Library Classification
Zhang Yuhui (Shanghai Library)
Libraly Journal. 2024, 43 (395): 61-74.
Deep
classification of literature based on Chinese Library Classification (CLC) includes
two classical natural language processing problems: Extreme Multi-label Text
Classification (XMC) and Hierarchical Text Classification (HTC). However, the
current research on literature classification based on CLC generally treats it
as an ordinary text classification problem. Since the core features of the
problem are not fully explored, these studies are generally unsatisfactory or
even infeasible in deep categorization. This paper, through the in-depth
analysis of the characteristics and difficulties of the literature
classification based on CLC, examines and researches the deep classification of
literature based on the CLC and related solutions from the perspectives of XMC
and HTC. It applies and innovates them for the characteristics of this
scenario, which not only improves the accuracy of the classification, but also
extends the depth and breadth of the classification. In this paper, the model
first extracts the semantic features of the text as the basis of classification
through a lightweight deep learning model applicable to the XMC problem. And
then, for the HTC problem in the classification of CLC, it utilizes the LTR
(Learning to Rank) framework to incorporate multivariate features including
hierarchical structural information as the auxiliary basis of classification,
which greatly exploits the information and knowledge embedded in the semantic
and classification system of the text. The model utilizes the LTR framework to
incorporate multiple features including hierarchical structure information as
an auxiliary basis for classification. It also combines the powerful semantic
understanding ability of deep learning models with the interpretability of
machine learning models, and has good scalability, which can be easily improved
by incorporating new features customized by experts at a later stage. Moreover,
the model is relatively lightweight, which can easily cope with tens of
thousands of classified labels under the limited computational resources, and
lays a good foundation for the full-depth categorization based on the CLC.

relics, improve the knowledge links in the field of celadon cultural relics,
solve the problems of weak knowledge association, low retrieval efficiency and
poor resource sharing in the field of celadon research, and thus promote the dissemination
and application of celadon cultural heritage. The ontology model of celadon is
constructed by using Protege ontology development software, the entity and
relationship extraction of celadon data sources is combined with natural
language processing tools, and the knowledge graph construction is completed
with the help of Neo4j graph database. Finally, the celadon knowledge graph is
established, and the inference and application demonstration of the celadon
ontology knowledge graph are completed. The study shows that the ontology-based
celadon knowledge graph achieves the storage requirements and knowledge links
of the underlying data of celadon cultural relics, and also provides a
reference for the construction of knowledge graphs of other ceramic cultural
relics.

A Methodological and Empirical Study of Extracting Event Information in Textual Historical Materials Based on Conditional Random Fields: Taking the Digital Humanities Study of the Rabe’s Diary as an Example
Zhao Xiaoxuan, Chen Gang, Huang Zijing ( School of Geography and Ocean Science, Nanjing University, Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Geographic Information Science and Technology, Key Laboratory for Land Satellite Remote Sensing Applications of Ministry of Natural Resources)
Libraly Journal. 2024, 43 (395): 101-108.
Textual
histories are widely digitized. How to extract geographically named entities
and related information from the texts and how to effectively realize
geographic information mining have become an important research topic. This
paper proposes an idea of extracting event elements related to time, place,
persons, things, events and phenomena associated with geographically named
entities by taking the geographically named entities as the core and making the
semantic information associated with geographical locations, and by converting
the event information described in the text into the attribute data of each
geographically named entity. The study used the document Japanese Soldiers’
Atrocities in the Nanking Safety Zone included in Rabe’s Diary as
an empirical case, and used the conditional random field method to extract
events. Combined with historical maps and other related data, geographical
information is finally mapped to the map. The methodology of this paper expands
the way textual information is exploited in the digital information era,
opening up new ideas for text mining analysis and knowledge discovery.

On Zeng Guofan’s Rare Book Collection: From Mo Youzhi’s Search for Siku Lost Books
Zhang Xinjie (School of Literature and Journalism, Yantai University )
Libraly Journal. 2024, 43 (395): 116-122.
After
conquering the south of the Yangtze River, Zeng Guofan, who was interested in
reviving culture and education, appointed Mo Youzhi to search for the Siku lost
books. The cultural needs after the war, Zeng Guofan’s affirmation of Mo
Youzhi’s sinology literacy, and Mo Youzhi’s livelihood pressure, the main
reasons why to start this book-searching activities include the cultural needs
after the war, Zeng Guofan’s affirmation of Mo Youzhi’s sinology literacy, and
Mo Youzhi’s livelihood pressure. As the appointer of the book-searching
activity, Zeng Guofan established the book-searching standards based entirely
on his personal preference for rare books. Precisely because of Zeng’s
enthusiasm for the first printed version, Mo focused on searching for these
versions of books. This book-searching activity is both a public and private
issue. To be specific, for publicly, Mo Youzhi has provided rare books for the
Jinling Bookstore for many times, which has greatly contributed to the
prosperity of Zeng Guofan’s cultural and educational career. For personally,
both Mo Youzhi and Zeng Guofan have greatly enriched their personal collections
of rare books by searching for the Siku lost books. This book-searching journey
exactly reflected Zeng Guofan’s idea of personal collection of rare books as a
bibliophile.
