Three Challenges to the High-Quality Development of China’s Librarianship
Wu Jianzhong (University of Macau Library)
Libraly Journal. 2023, 42 (384): 18-23.
In the past 40 years of reform and
opening-up, especially since the beginning of the 21stcentury,
China’s librarianship has
got into a stage of rapid development. Many hardware indicators havereached or
approached the international advanced level, but the new development
environment marked byhigh-quality and the new technology environment led by
digitization put forward new requirements for thenew round of development of
the librarianship. Based on the relationship between library and technology, combined
with three important discussions in the field of library in the past 50 years,
namely, from“technology adapting to library” to “library adapting to technology”, from “serving readers in library” to“responding to the needs of social
development”, and from “focusing
on local development to expandingglobal vision”, this
paper proposes three synchronization topics of high-quality development of
China’slibrarianship: synchronization with
technological development, synchronization with social development, and
synchronization with global professional development. Finally, three issues
that need to be tackledare put forward. Firstly, we should improve the
visibility of local collections and thematic resources, making these resources
accessible and shareable, and becoming part of the library-interconnected globalshared
repository. Secondly, librarianship development should be integrated into the
general developmentenvironment of information and communication technology,
adapting to the information usage habits ofreaders and users, and making the
global shared repository based on numerous libraries be part of thesocial
information resource system. Thirdly, while learning from foreign counterparts
with an open mind,we should make full use of our advantages and work hard to
improve our voice in the development ofglobal librarianship.

The Historical Evolution
and Future Prospect of Public Cultural Policy under the Background of
Urban-Rural Integration
Zeng Wen (School of Information Management, Sun Yat-sen University)
Libraly Journal. 2023, 42 (384): 24-33.
This paper combs the policy texts
closely related to the adjustment of urban-rural relationsand the development
of public cultural undertakings, explores the policy evolution of urban-rural
relationsand the evolution of public cultural policies in the context of
urban-rural integration, and thinks aboutthe policy direction of the
development of public cultural service. It is found that the evolution of
publiccultural policy can be divided into three periods: the period of
establishing and perfecting the ruralcultural network, the period of forming
the public cultural service system covering the whole society, and the period of
integrating urban and rural public cultural service. In the process of
evolution, andinfluenced by the policy of urban-rural integration, the public
cultural policy increasingly emphasizes theextension of basic public cultural
services to rural areas and the standardization and digitization of publiccultural
services, and brings cultural power into play in reshaping the relationship
between urban and ruralareas. The integrated development of urban and rural
public cultural services needs to pay attention tothe enabling role of culture
in the revitalization of rural areas in terms of policy, activating the rural
mainbody consciousness, connecting with the actual needs, safeguarding the
basic cultural rights and interestsof the floating population, and accelerating
the development of rural public digital culture.

Libraly Journal. 2023, 42 (384): 44-50.
The construction of subject information
service platform is an important performance tohelp the development of subjects
and improve the information service capabilities of university libraries. This
paper studies and analyzes the current situation of the theory and practice of
the subject informationservice platform development of university library using
the methods of literature research and networkresearch. The results show that
the current subject information service platform of university library hasattracted
insufficient attention, but is disadvantaged with lack of demand feedback,
incomplete servicecoverage and non-standard data management. Taking the
discipline information service platform of thelibrary of Chongqing University
as an example, this paper constructs a platform service system to realizeknowledge
services such as literature, consultation, training and competitive
intelligence by building atargeted discipline information service platform to
meet the decision-making reference needs of scientificresearch, scientific research
management and development planning. In this way, we can innovatethe discipline
information service mode, improve the discipline service quality of university
libraries, and provide reference for university libraries in China to support
the “double
first-class”
disciplineconstruction.

Paid knowledge service has emerged as a
new learning method in the era of sharingeconomy. Based on
stimulus-organism-response theory, uses and gratification theory, and variables
suchas information search, information sharing, and perceived belonging, this
paper constructs a researchmodel on the influencing factors of users’ purchase of knowledge products from
the perspective of mobilelearning. A total of 526 valid questionnaires were
collected with the help of the online questionnaireplatform, and partial least
squares structural equation model and Smart PLS 3.0 and SPSS 23.0 wereused for
data analysis and hypothesis testing. The research results show that
information search andinformation sharing positively affect user satisfaction,
perceived belonging and immersive experience;satisfaction and immersive
experience positively affect users’ willingness to continue to use, and thenpositively
affect users’
purchase behavior; and perceived belonging has a positive impact on continuoususe.
The effect of willingness was not significant. This paper clarifies the
internal logical relationshipbetween the influencing factors of user purchase
behavior, and provides useful management inspirationfor effectively improving
user stickiness.

The Authenticity of Dongpo Wen Tan Lu and Dongpo ShiHua Lu: An Investigation
Du Chunlei (Institute of Ancient Books, Sichuan University)
Libraly Journal. 2023, 42 (384): 124-129.
Dongpo Wen
Tan Lu and Dongpo Shi Hua Lu, reportedly written by Chen Xiumin of theYuan Dynasty, are two relatively
well-known works specialized in commenting on Su Shi’s articles andpoems. According to The General
Catalogue of Siku Quanshu and Sun Yirang’s Wenzhou Jingji Zhi, theformat and style of these two books are rather confused, with
miscellaneous quotations from relevantworks of the Ming Dynasty; but their
suspicion that both books are pseudo-graphs has not been confirmed.Lacking
solid evidence in this regard, these two books are still used today for their
documentary value. The paper proves that two books, by drawing heavily on Volume
4 and Volume 5 of Su Zhang Gong Wai Jiedited by Wang Shizhen and supplemented by Qu Zhipu, are indeed
pseudo-graphs. Their author and titlehave been faked to create a mysterious
origin. In this case, the previous research and conclusions based onthe
authenticity of the two books should be reassessed.

On the Annotated and
Postscript Edition of Zhouyi Bianlu by Li Wenzao in Shandong Library: Also on the
Value and the Origin of Its Edition
Li Guanyong (Historical Documents Department of Shandong Library)
Libraly Journal. 2023, 42 (384): 130-134.
Zhouyi
Bianlu, with annotation and postscript by Li Wenzao, is
collected by ShandongLibrary. According to The
Bibliography of Chinese Rare Books, this edition is
the authentic sourceedition of the Siku, which has been confirmed within
academia. My current preliminary probe showsthat this edition contradicts with
Weng Fanggang’s abstract; and
further contradictions appear afterbeing compared with the Siku versions from
Wenyuange and Wenjinge. Given these differences, thisedition of Zhouyi
Bianlu cannot be the authentic source. My thorough investigation
into the relevantcollections home and abroad reveals that the edition presented
by Wu Yuchi and currently collected byChinese Academy of Sciences Library
accords with the Siku edition and that this edition is undoubtedlythe authentic
version. This important finding, by clarifying the source version, will be of
great benefit toresearchers. By comparison with its counterparts collected by
Chinese Academy of Sciences Library andKyoto University Library, the origin of Zhouyi
Bianlu has been clarified. Though not being the authenticsource
version, Zhouyi
Bianlu in Shandong Library was one of three officially presented
editions. Beingcollected successively by Li Wenzao, Zhou Yongnian and Nan
Zhuyuan, this edition in Shandong Libraryhas its unique value. The reference
mistakes related to this version have been corrected with moreaccurate
information.
