Knowledge anxiety has boosted the explosive growth of knowledge-based paid products. In this context, the article collects and analyzes 25 digital reading reports of 2017 in China by online surveys. In 2016-2017, the digital reading industry in China presents the new development trends: the digital reading industry is favored by the capital market and the competition is fiercer; the net literature is taken seriously by the government and guided by the policies; the digital reading enterprises cooperation are crossover; the main digital reading enterprises layout overseas markets actively; user’s copyright awareness upgrade; digital reading becomes more socialized; audiobook becomes a new fashion of digital reading.

Orphan work refers to the work whose author or copyright owner cannot be identified. With the development of Internet and computer science, the issue of using and spreading orphan works is becoming increasingly poignant. The United States has conducted a decade-long official research on solution to the problem. Even though no substantial statute has been formulated yet, the federal copyright office submitted the drafts of orphan works act for several times. The most recent draft in 2015, for instance, is still not an active law, but may provide us with valuable reference for domestic legislation.

Developing the measurements of data is one of the major topics in information analysis and informetrics. In this paper, we introduce a potential analytical method called “Multidimensional h-distribution”. “Multidimensional” means that the result contains a series of related variables instead of one figure, whereas “Generalized” indicates that its application object is no longer limited to citation, which is used in h-index. The two sets of empirical data in journals and research topics show that multidimensional h-distribution has the characteristics of avoiding a single measure, inspecting multidimensions, not limited to citations but being suitable for more entity data, giving comprehensive assessment, etc. Therefore, it may be able to provide an additional approach for comparative analysis of multidimensional data.

After the release of the FR family models, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) has been actively promoting their integration and launched the world-wide review of IFLA-Library Reference Model (IFLA-LRM), on February 2016, which is an integration and enhancement of the three models of FR family. The definite version was endorsed by IFLA Professional Committee in 2017. This paper analyzes the similarities and differences between IFLA-LRM and FR family models in terms of model structure, users’ tasks, entities, attributes and relationships, to provide a starting point for further understanding and implementing IFLA-LRM.

By studying the highly cited papers by years in library and information science field, the paper points out the shortcomings of high frequency keyword co-word analysis, and proposes a word selection program that acknowledges medium and low frequency keywords. It recommends deleting the high-frequency keywords and including medium and low frequency keywords that boast strong cooccurrence relationship into analysis, as well as improving representativeness of keywords. Through the comparison and analysis of multidimensional scale graph and clustering tree diagram, the paper verifies that the new method is better than the traditional high-frequency keyword co-word analysis, with higher degree of aggregation, clearer relationship between groups, and increased efficiency to reveal the thematic structure of the research field

With cooperation with bookstores, the Inner Mongolia Library implemented the “Colorful Cloud Service”, which makes the library patrons decide on the book acquisition. The innovative “I (readers) read, you (library) pay; I am decision-maker for my library” service philosophy promotes national reading and book sharing. This article describes the evolution, through R&D of mobile platform, from “Colorful Cloud Service”, the elementary model, to “Colorful Cloud Intelligent Relay Cloud Storage” and social collection system. It also introduces the effective measures adopted by the library to address issues such as the positioning of acquisition librarians, overdue books, and the destruction of the collection system in the process of “Colorful Cloud Service” development. Finally, it analyzes the universality of “Colorful Cloud Service”.

Taking 1370 articles posted by official accounts of 985 Project Universities on the WeChat as research object, this paper analyses the factors accounting for the number of people reading those articles and the number of likes, namely, the topic of articles, word length of the title, posting period, posting time, title format, pronoun of the title and digitization level of the title. Through the SPSS analysis software, it checks the rationality and scientific nature. Finally this paper proposes optimization measures.

With the python-based crawler, this paper collects the articles and relevant information published in the WeChat public accounts of 30 provincial libraries of China during the period between September 1, 2015 and August 31, 2016. It conducts the overall and specific analysis through the data visualization analysis software Tableau and WeChat propagation index WCI, and proposes measures for improvement, such as equilibrium distribution to maintain stickiness, evaluation based on indexes, explicit specifications of the system, and republication of popular articles of original creativity.

With the rapid development of Internet plus and new media, users’ information retrieval habits and methods have undergone changes as well, which promotes the transformation of information service model in academic universities towards mobile terminals and increasing interactiveness. This paper takes the official account of Wuhan University of Technology Library as an example, and analyzes its service content and methods by collecting a series of relevant data from various perspectives, including the subscription of readers, the usage of menu as well as the reading responses. It aims at developing a “micro” knowledge interactive service model of academic universities in the times of mobile Internet and interactive environment.

This paper makes a comparative analysis of Baidu Academic Search and Summon Discovery System from the perspectives of metadata collection, retrieval functions, personalized services, full-text acquisition, access experience and business services. The purpose of the study is to provide reference for users and for academic discovery platform development.

Due to the complexity of the authorized photocopy version of western language books, libraries disagree in terms of cataloging. Research has rarely been done from the perspective of access points on the selection of MARC21 or CNMARC as cataloging formats. The article summarizes the controversial issues for cataloguing this category of books, and, by way of comparative analysis, compares and studies the main search fields ISBN, title, responsible persons, series items, keywords, and editions, concluding the advantages and disadvantages of both methods in the hope of establishing a unified and standardized description rules.

Many scholars have analyzed the factors affecting adoption behavior of cloud computing, but there are obvious differences in the degree and direction of the research conclusions. Therefore, this study adopts meta analysis to analyze 8 508 samples in the 20 independent empirical studies. The results show that factors affecting of cloud computing adoption behavior are perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived risk, trust, personal creativity, social influence and cloud computing’s characteristics. Among all these factors, the perceived usefulness has the strongest impact on adoption behavior, whereas known risk a significant negative effect on the behavior. The study also analyzes the correlation of various factors, and by way of meta-analysis, draws a general conclusions applicable to cloud computing adoption, providing a practical basis for the further research in the future, and inspirations for individuals, businesses, governments and other institutions of cloud computing adoption.

With the development of the social media, it is important to identify the user generated comments of high quality. In this paper, the author used the topic model to identify the high quality users’ comments and to mine the topic feature. The author first put forward the topic model in high quality users’ comments, then calculated the topic model and discussed the topic distribution features. Based on the analysis of the users’ comments on the social platforms, the author established LDA subjects model, and used the users’ comments in Amazon bookstore for testing. Finally, the author drew a conclusion on the topic distribution feature on high quality users’ comments.

With the disadvantages of preservation and application of academic achievements getting more and more obvious, the traditional preservation and application system with single preservation, and low level of service and digital resource cannot meet people’s needs. The authors presented the method by integrating the digital service into the preservation and application process, to deepen the digital construction of the College Repository and satisfy the needs of individuation. This paper covers the selection principle, collection method and preservation mode of virtual library academic achievement, which were based on the virtual College Repository of Chongqing University. It establishes the panoramic display and virtual exhibition halls and proposes tentative ideas for the further development of the virtual College Repository of Chongqing University. The panoramic display and virtual exhibition halls of College Repository of Chongqing University demonstrates a new method for the exhibition, preservation and application of academic achievements, and solved the problem of “easy preservation but difficult application”.

There is a direct connection between library service process and users’ satisfaction level. Problems in the service process lead to the dissatisfaction on the part of users. The traditional library user satisfaction analysis, heavily reliant on the surveys, failed to make full use of library service process logs. The typical process mining can be used to analyze and assess the process, and hence to analyze the library users’ satisfaction based on the process analysis. After building the model of user satisfaction analysis based on process mining, the paper studies the three core steps of the model, namely, generating event logs, selecting mining algorithm, and analyzing users’ satisfaction.
