New Changes in Digital Reading in China: Based on the 2017 Digital Reading Reports

Abstract: Knowledge anxiety has boosted the explosive growth of knowledge-based paid products. In this context, the article collects and analyzes 25 digital reading reports of 2017 in China by online surveys. In 2016-2017, the digital reading industry in China presents the new development trends: the digital reading industry is favored by the capital market and the competition is fiercer; the net literature is taken seriously by the government and guided by the policies; the digital reading enterprises cooperation are crossover; the main digital reading enterprises layout overseas markets actively; user’s copyright awareness upgrade; digital reading becomes more socialized; audiobook becomes a new fashion of digital reading.
