A Correction to Cangyuan Qunshu Jingyanlu

Fu Zengxiang is a famous edition and bibliographer in modern times in China, and is aslo well-known as an emendation scholar and bibliophile. He spend all his life in the collection and collation of Chinese ancient books, who has outstanding achievements and has a far-reaching impact on future generation. Cangyuan Qunshu Jingyanlu reflects his achievements in the area of version and catalogue, and has a high value in academic. This book records a lot of ancient books, including printed edition, movable edition, and handwritten edition, which were saw during Fu Zengxiang visiting books for many years. Therefore, this book also often become the contemporary political scholar desk necessary books. However, due to various reasons, it is not reach the acme of perfection, Cangyuan Qunshu Jingyanlu also recorded by eye mistakes. Based on previous correction of today, review the relevant literature handed down from ancient times, the “Ji” recorded Shiji of the title, author and volumes, a new study, correct one, to uphold the scientific attitude, to make a better memory of sages.

An Research on Deletion of MINGSHI YIWENZHI: From MINGSHI YIWENZHIGAO to MINGSHI YIWENZHI

It had been a long-term process to compile MINGSHI YIWENZHI, during the period of which, many relevant achievements were made. Although scholars have been studied the difference and relationship between these achievements since then, there still some issues need a further study. In this essay, under the help of the newly found MINGSHI YIWENZHIGAO(written by Huang Yuji, an scholar in early Qing Dynasty) and the emended YIWENZHI from History of Ming Dynasty(the 416th volume, collected in the National Library), the author discussed the changes between two successive books, MINGSHI YIWENZHIGAO and MINGSHI YIWENZHI in three aspects: deletion of bibliographical of four dynasties (attached to MINGSHI YIWENZHIGAO), modification and adjustment of entries in bibliographical of four dynasties, deletion of notes and entries in bibliographical of four dynasties.
