Comparative Analysis of Digital Humanities Research from the Perspective of Life Cycle

Abstract: In the era of big data, digital technology provides new methods, new tools, new platforms and new content for humanities research, and promotes the transformation of humanities research paradigms and research contents. A comparative analysis of the digital humanities research at home and abroad can provide reference for the research and practice in this field in China. Based on WoS and CSSCI databases, the paper utilized VOSviewer, UCINET, Origin8.0, TDA and other analysis tools to explore the evolution of the digital humanities research at home and abroad, and comprehensively revealed the history, current situation and development direction of digital humanities research. The paper fully reflected the research status of digital humanities at home and abroad from four aspects, namely, the life cycle division, cooperative network map, hot topic map and disciplinary evolution map. Furthermore, the paper put forward proposals according to the relevant domestic research and development status.
