Wang Bing, Wang Yuanjie ( School of Resources & Safety Engineering, Central South University, Safety & Security Theory Innovation and Promotion Center, Central South University, Safety & Security Science and Emergency Management Center, Central South University)
Libraly Journal. 2022, 41 (11): 30-39.
From the perspective of safety and
security intelligence (SI), safety and security intelligencefailure (SIF) is
the main cause of safety and security management failure. Therefore, the study
of SIFavoidance strategy is of great theoretical and practical importance.
Firstly, based on the intelligencefailure theory and safety and security
science, this paper puts forward the SIF under the big safety andsecurity
concept, and discusses the types of SIF with examples. Secondly, by analyzing
the causesand countermeasures of SIF with the Wuli-Shili-Renli System Approach
(WSR), the paper proposes aSIF avoidance strategy system based on WSR. Finally,
this paper takes the prevention and control ofCOVID-19 epidemic as an example
to analyze the application of the established SIF avoidance strategysystem. The
research shows that the SIF avoidance strategy system based on WSR emphasizes
onsolving the SIF problem from the overall perspective of “Wu” “Shi” and “Ren”, including
adapting to SIattributes, improving SI environment, and understanding SI
personnel.

Libraly Journal. 2022, 41 (11): 40-48.
As an ontology model, BIBFRAME is the
key to the realization of linking of librarybibliographic data, and has been
widely used in the library community. Based on the class and propertyanalysis
of BIBFRAME model and vocabulary released by the Library of Congress, this
paper discussesthe application of BIBFRAME model in linked data based on PCC,
LD4P and Share-VDE projects, inorder to explore the key elements in the design
of library linked data. Through the analysis, it is found thatBIBFRAME provides
support for Linked Data Projects from the aspects of term mapping, model
expansionand platform application. In other words, BIBFRAME provides a set of
terminology system to realize thesemantic transformation of CONSER standard
record. The paper also expands the BIBFRAME model andconstructs the bibliotek-o
ontology model, which provides a good demonstration for the expansion andapplication
of various thesaurus resources such as ontology. It provides a hierarchical
structure search basedon BIBFRAME work, instance and item for the construction
of the project platform. And the developmentof BIBFRAME is considered from two
aspects: dynamic adaptability and reuse.

Electronic Resource Service during the Pandemic:Taking the WeLibrary Mini
Program of Tsinghua UniversityLibrary as an Example
Zhang Shuhua, Zhao Yang, Zhang Bei, Dou Tianfang (Tsinghua University Library)
Libraly Journal. 2022, 41 (11): 49-54.
Affected by the novel coronavirus
pneumonia epidemic, all colleges and universitiespostponed the start of the
2020 spring semester. The demand for off-campus access to the library’selectronic resources increased
sharply. While expanding off-campus access methods and the bandwidthof
off-campus access system, university libraries needed to effectively guide
patrons to access in themost optimal way. We sorted out the off-campus access
methods of electronic resources, and ranked themaccording to the strength of
recommendation as the data basis for guiding users. The WeLibrary WeChatmini
program was developed to provide users with one-stop access to electronic
resources off-campus,and to guide users to access electronic resources in the
best way. Through the drainage of multiple accessways, the peak number of
visitors to the off-campus access system decreased from 400 to about 300, andthe
access to electronic resources through shibboleth mode increased significantly–for example, CNKIincreased from 35% to 66%–which
ensured the off-campus access of faculty and students to libraryelectronic
resources.

Exploration of Reading Promotion in University LibrariesBased on the Cultural Scene Theory: A Case Study of thePlay “Original Intention” by Xiangtan University Library
Ma Manjiang, Sun Yingzi, Dai Yanqing( Library of Xiangtan University, Public Administration School of Xiangtan University)
Libraly Journal. 2022, 41 (11): 61-69.
Drawing on cultural scene theory, we
explore reading promotion in college libraries fromthree dimensions of
authenticity, drama and legitimacy, as well as their sub-dimensions. Taking the
scenebasedreading promotion activity of Xiangtan University Library, the play “Original
Intention”, as anexample, we
conduct scene interpretation and scene measurement to elaborate the practice of
readingpromotion. The overall performance is good, but we also notice slight
deficiency in four sub-dimensionsof rationality, self-expression, good will,
and fashion. We thus propose to discover quality promotioncontents from the
dimension of “authenticity”, to
construct inclusive cultural scenes from the dimensionof “legality”, and to guide immersive
experiences from the dimension of “drama”, so as to enrich thescenario-based reading promotion practices by
college libraries.

Exploring
Library Reading Promoters’ Self-evaluation of Job Skills and Satisfaction
Yang Fei, Li Wu , Luo Xiaoting( Shanghai Pudong Library, School of Media and Communication, Shanghai Jiao Tong University)
Libraly Journal. 2022, 41 (11): 70-77.
The mastery of job skills of reading
promoters has a decisive influence on the success ofthe reading promotion; thus
how to develop their job skills is a topic of interest for both researchers andpractitioners.
A mixed method was adopted to address this issue. Firstly, through focus group
interviews, six skills of reading promoters were established: familiarity with
literature, user research skill, eventmanagement skill, hosting ability,
publicity skill, and evaluation skill. Secondly, based on a large samplesurvey,
we explored the reading promoters' self-assessment of their mastery of these
skills. Specifically, the differences in self-assessments between different
groups were compared and the relationship betweenself-assessment and job
satisfaction was also investigated. Theoretically, the study adds to the bodyof
knowledge on reading promotion, particularly reading promoters. Furthermore, it
has a practicalimplication as to how to develop the job skills of reading
promoters working in libraries.

Cai Yingchun, Yan Dan, Wang Jian ( Library of Shanghai International StudiesUniversity, Digital Scholarship Center of Shanghai International Studies University)
Libraly Journal. 2022, 41 (11): 94-103.
In the context of new liberal art, the
construction of the Digital Humanities Laboratory(DHL) for the cultivation of
digital talents and the improvement of digital skills and digital thinking isat
the right time. As an interdisciplinary public service unit of the University,
the university library hasan irreplaceable advantage. The paper investigates
the current state of the selected DHL in colleges anduniversities at home and
abroad, compares those labs in terms of their research directions,
achievements, infrastructures, and technological methods, and, by way of
elaborating on the concept of “shared scene”,analyzes the four constituent
elements and four critical nodes of creating DHL in libraries. Taking thelibrary
at Shanghai International Studies University as an example, this paper explains
how to integratethe four constituent elements into the construction of the DHL:
space-time presentation, infrastructure,participants, and interactive
experience. Also, it explores the integration model of the collaborationbetween
the library and discipline programs under the context of new liberal arts.
Finally, it suggests thatDHL pays attention to the four key elements: space,
platform, training, and management so that DHL canmeet the needs not only of
education but also of talent training.
