Foreign Public Library Reading Promotion Project Evaluation: Positioning and Process

Abstract:

The study briefly outlines the necessity of evaluating library reading promotion projects and the current status of domestic assessments. Through literature reviews, website surveys, and content analysis, it analyzes relevant papers, reports, and standards on reading promotion project evaluation abroad, extracting research themes. It focuses on the evaluation objectives, content, indicators, datacollection methods, evaluation tools, experimental methods, and other implementation processes used in the reading promotion projects in foreign public libraries. It summarizes their experiences and shortcomings, and then proposes enlightening countermeasures for domestic project evaluation.The findings aim to provide references for promoting the high-quality development of library reading promotion in China.
