Abstract:

Digital humanities is an emerging interdisciplinary research field formed by the intersection and integration of digital technology and humanities. It is a model of interdisciplinary integration. Grasping its interdisciplinary characteristics helps to understand the connotation of digital humanities. From the perspective of scientific cooperation, interdisciplinary measurement of digital humanities is conducted, providing a new approach for quantitative research on interdisciplinary digital humanities and a scientific basis for explaining the phenomenon of interdisciplinary integration of digital humanities. Starting from representative digital humanities’ conferences, the results of the ADHO Digital Humanities Annual Conference were selected as the research object. Through an interdisciplinary measurement method based on co-author’s institutional information, the degree of interdisciplinary intersection in digital humanities was measured and analyzed. The measurement research results indicate that digital humanities s has the characteristic of integrating humanities and sciences, and is a comprehensive interdisciplinary field with strong interdisciplinary characteristics. The breadth and depth of intersection between different disciplines continue to increase, gradually shifting from the early intersection between similar disciplines to the intersection between non similar disciplines.
