The Process Management of Cultural IP in Public Libraries in theContext of High-Quality Development: A Case Study of ShenzhenYantian Library

Abstract:

Against the backdrop of the high-quality development of the current public culturalservice system, utilizing cultural IP to enhance the capabilities of public libraries to serve the publicand to distribute information is of very practical significance. The article aims to explore feasible pathsfor the construction and development of cultural IP in public libraries by studying practical cases ofbuilding Shenzhen Yantian Library’s cultural IP. This article sorts out the entire process of the culturalIP construction, including selecting the direction, construction methods, maintenance and management,and explores the full process management methods of the cultural IP construction of public librariesbased on the status quo of public libraries in China. Research has found that the construction of culturalIP for public libraries in China is still in its early stage, mainly focusing on aspects such as image design,event building, and creative products. By identifying the characteristics of its collections and positioningits jurisdiction, Shenzhen Yantian Library selects the overall theme of its cultural IP, and constructsits cultural IP throughout the entire process, including reader service, building construction, brandactivities, and creative products. This relatively rare model, to some extent, can provide reference for theconstruction of cultural IP in public libraries.
