Abstract: The “Marx’s Study Room” of Taiyuan City Library is the first red cultural theme space in China with “Marxism” as the core and with integration of both creativity and humanistic concepts. This article adopts the case analysis method, focusing on the three aspects of theme space design, reading promotion methods and cultural brand building. It analyzes its successful experience in depth, and proposes its future development model from the perspective of the development and utilization of the red literature in the collection so as to provide inspiration for domestic public libraries.
