Abstract: The intelligentization of library space is an important part of library construction, and also the most remarkable feature of library space re-creation. Studying the change and development trend of library space can provide theoretical basis and methodological guidance for the re-creation of library space and promote the development of library to intelligent library. Through the analysis of the construction and research status of the library’s space, the intelligent elements and functions of the library space are summarized. The construction and service of library intelligent space must be guided by user demand and led by the comprehensive application of new technology. It requires overall planning, rational layout, stepby-step development. It will result in the full realization of library space’s value, energy and efficiency, and empowerment of patrons through service innovation.
