Theoretical Innovation and Practices of the University Library Assessment: Experiments and Practice of University LibraryAssessment in Hainan Province in Recent 30 Years

Abstract: This paper comprehensively and systematically combs the development course of the
university library assessment in Hainan province in the recent 30 years. Based on the ISO9000, ISO11620
and the transforming evaluation system of academic libraries since the beginning of this century, the paper
mainly discusses and analyzes the theoretical innovation and practical exploration of how to establish
the assessment system of university libraries with the characteristics of Hainan Province. The process is
believed to have provided a new paradigm for assessment system development for domestic university
libraries.
