Abstract: The ancient books repairing skills have been included national intangible cultural heritage projects in the fourth group, and traditionally they have classified by the northern school and southern school. The southern school repairing skills of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces as the center have made a huge contribution to ancient books conservation in the country. However, they have not made significant achievements in the current. Through theirs practice and observation, the authors exhume and explain the southern school repairing skills and their value, and they investigate the heir in Zhejiang province and record their achievements. The main purpose of the paper is to maintain and inherit the southern school skills, also encourage the experts to accelerate forward the ancient books repairing.
