Wu Jianzhong, Cheng Huanwen, Diane Koen, Traci Lesneski, Tang Yuen, Elif Tinaztepe, Chris Hardie
Libraly Journal. 2019, 38 (1): 4-12.
On December 5, 2018, the Helsinki Central Library, which attracted the attention of the global cultural community, was grandly opened. Wu Jianzhong believes that the library is a “public space open to all” and has the functions that a new generation of libraries should have, namely, serving urban innovation, improving urban features and helping with people’s comprehensive development as a communication center, learning center and knowledge center, as well as setting an example for the transformation of the global library space. Cheng Huanwen transliterated the name of the library "Oodi" into the Chinese characters , meaning “invincible”, expounding the invincibility of the library from the aspects of its architectural
design and space function design. He believes that the expansion of public library space resources and the diversification of spatial functions will surely become the development direction of public libraries and will reshape the future of public libraries; Cohen Diana and Lesneski Trach endorced the building’s architectural and construction concept from the perspective of architectural design. The library architectural design aims to provide support to people of all walks of life as widely as possible, so that all users can have equal access to the library space, feel dignified, and use the library in a comfortable and relaxing environment. They consider the library has set a good example for city residents of the world participating in the construction of cultural places. At the same time, they emphasizes the importance of the inclusive design of library buildings, and highly appreciates the inclusiveness displayed by this new library building. Tang Yuen takes the geographical location, floor distribution, architectural design and actual situation of the library as examples to propose that for different countries and regions, the design of the public library should reflect the characteristics of the library and adapt to the local social and cultural needs so as to showcase its cultural characteristics. Ehriver Turnstay and Chris Hardy believe that the library must be open enough, and its structure allows users to create, define, and influence the overall environment. At the same time, library design must have architectural originalities, which can provide users with pleasure and enhance the pride of citizens. They believe that the library will become a new cultural hub and witness the library functions as an open structure.

Characteristics and Factors Analysis of the Temporal and Spatial Pattern of Public Libraries in China
Tian Zhifu
Libraly Journal. 2019, 38 (1): 16-23.
It is of great significance to study the evolution of space-time pattern of public library to realize the equalization of public cultural services. With the help of MapInfo and SPSS analysis tools, this paper discusses the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of Chinese public libraries in different scales from 2000 to 2016. The results show that, on the national scale, the diachronic development is phased, the spatial process is distributed unevenly along the “Hu Huanyong line”, the density decreases gradually from the eastern region to the western region at the regional scale, and the quantity increases inversely. On the provincial and municipal scale, Zhejiang is on top in terms of many indicators, while the per capita purchase fee of books in Tibet, Xinjiang, and Inner Mongolia has increased significantly. National policies, regional social and economic development, geographical environment factors affect the formation and evolution of the aforementioned characteristics.

Construction of Semantic Knowledge Model and Association Research for Bibliographic Data
Chen Tao, Zhang Yongjuan, Shan Rongrong, Li Xin, Liu Wei
Libraly Journal. 2019, 38 (1): 65-73.
With the rapid development of the Semantic Web and Linked Data technologies in the field of library and information, more and more organizations use the BIBFRAME framework to organize their bibliographic resources. Single volume, compilation work, series, and aggregation work are common forms of work in bibliographic data. In this paper, from the perspective of Linked Data and knowledge organization, we model different forms of works using the framework of BIBFRAME. In addition, this paper also proposes a knowledge correlation model of bibliographic data in the framework of BIBFRAME. We also guide the association and integration of bibliographic data with other open resources from multiple perspectives.

Research on the Recognition of Highly Cited Papers Based on “Precision-recall” Analysis
Li Xin, Cheng Qikai
Libraly Journal. 2019, 38 (1): 83-90.
This article first summarized the status and problems existing in identifying highly citedpapers, on the basis of which, we assumed that the number of download could be an indicator for identifying highly cited papers. To test the hypothesis, we manually collected 448 749 articles published in 90 core journals between 2004-2016 from the fields of geophysics, computers and automation, mechanics, library and information science, and pharmacy. We depicted the density of downloads and citations of these articles by using statistics. Then, we converted the problem of identifying highly cited papers into a problem of information retrieval, and used the Download Score (DS) and Journal Citation Score (JCS) to score and rank the papers. Finally, precision-recall curve was utilized to analyze and visualize results. Both indicators were proved to be functional to identify highly cited papers, with the DS more effective than JCS.
