A Review of China’s University Libraries Literature Bidding Purchase in Recent Ten Years
Shi Jianlan, Gao Bo
Libraly Journal. 2018, 37 (10): 20-31.
Taking the research papers on bidding and purchasing of Chinese university library from 2007 to 2016 as the research object, this paper summarizes the research overview, research content and trend from the perspectives of dissertation distribution, the core journal source distribution and the content analysis. The thesis separately elaborates on the main research contents of domestic tendering and procurement for university libraries, mainly including the role of tendering for literature procurement in university libraries in China for value analysis, current tendering and procurement, and problems in research and tendering, procurement strategies and adopted methods. The authors focuse on the research and analysis of the evaluation index system and evaluation methods in the bidding procurement process, point out the existing deficiencies in the existing research phase, and put forward thoughts and suggestions for the future research.

Evaluation of Library Websites under the Analytical Framework of “Full Evaluation”
Lu Wenhui, Ye Jiyuan
Libraly Journal. 2018, 37 (10): 31-42.
t In order to explore the domestic and foreign research progress about the library website evaluation, problems and countermeasures, this paper employed the analytical framework of “full evaluation” and studied the six essential factors for evaluation (subject, object, purpose, method, criteria and indicator, and mechanism) from three perspectives (form, content and the effectiveness) regarding evaluation research literatures of library website at home and abroad published since the 21st century. The study identified a few problems in library evaluation, and put forward countermeasures in six aspects: 1) promoting the diversification and specialization of the evaluation subjects; 2) promoting the diversification and comprehensiveness of the evaluation objects; 3) ensuring that the objective of the evaluation is specific and clarified; 4) promoting the professionalization and synthesis of the evaluation methods; 5) promoting the standardization and objectification of the evaluation standards and indicators; 6) paying attention to the construction of evaluation rules and nurturing the sense of such standards.

The Empirical Research on Space Design and Function of American Library Buildings
Su Wencheng, Lu Zhangping
Libraly Journal. 2018, 37 (10): 43-52.
By adopting NVivo 11 software, the paper makes a qualitative analysis of the texts, audios and videos collected from surveys on 30 American libraries in terms of space desgn and function. Based on the derived word cloud, keyword cluster and coding node concept model, it analyzes the designing pattern and principle of American library buildings, demands of library patrons with special needs, re-creation of innovative space, and the application of intelligent digital technologies. It draws inspirations from the study to improve space division according to functions, to build green library, and to adhere to humanistic principle.

Digital Humanities Study of Humanities from the Perspective of Big Data
Ouyang Jian
Libraly Journal. 2018, 37 (10): 61-70.
Based on the background of big data, this paper starts with the changes of digital humanities development and its connotation under the new digital environment, and analyzes the transformation of humanities research in digital humanities. The thinking mode of big data provides new ideas and methods for humanities research. The digital humanities studies in the humanities have presented new features, such as wide horizon, quantification, interdisciplinarization, integration and multi-dimensional analysis, which have brought a variety of thinking modes and research perspectives, such as wide horizon, long time, and large space. It has formed a new paradigm for digital humanities research in the era of big data. Integration and fusion of digital data and computer analysis have become two important components of digital humanities studies.

The Evaluation of Node Importance within the Scientific Collaboration Network from Hypernetwork Perspective
Wang Yu, Guo Jinli
Libraly Journal. 2018, 37 (10): 89-100.
From the perspective of hypernetwork, the paper studies the importance of authors in scientific research collaboration. First of all, by considering the impact factors of journals, time factors and cited frequency of papers, authors’ signature order and the paper quantity, we design author’s own scientific value V, which can characterize the local importance of authors. Then, we construct the average path matrix with arbitrary length. According to the distance between nodes, the average number of paths and other factors, three matrices about importance contribution proportion are constructed, which reflect the influence strength among all nodes. As a result, we obtain the total importance contribution value F that can characterize the global importance of authors. Finally, combined with the author’s own value V and the contribution value F obtained from other authors, the final importance index D is proposed. In the field of library and information, we construct the hypernetwork including 81 authors and 855 papers. The empirical results show that the index proposed can identify the core authors effectively. Moreover, compared with traditional and single indicators respectively, the validity of the method is further verified.

Dataset of World-renowned Think Tanks Impact Indicators in 2016
Li Jie, Huang Chen, Yu Minjie, Chen Guogang, Liu Tao
Libraly Journal. 2018, 37 (10): 101-105.
t This paper uses Web of Science, CNKI, ProQuest, China Digital Library and other websites to collect data of world-renowned think tanks, including academic indicators, popularity indicators, as well as some objective data in 2016. After extensive research, and referencing 2015 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report published by University of Pennsylvania and Global Think Tank Evaluation Report published by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, this paper selects 169 world-renowned think tanks with the principles of openness, integrity and representativeness. Then we collect data from four perspectives: basic situation, academic influence, popularity, and peer review. This dataset can be used for the analysis and research of famous think tanks around the world, and to assess the current status of think tanks as well as their impact on public policy
