Abstract: This study focuses on the transformation pathways of information literacy competitions in the era of human-machine symbiosis. Through a dual approach combining theoretical and practical investigations, it integrates the inverted triangle competition model, Bloom's AI framework, human-machine symbiosis theory, and lifelong learning theory to construct a new theoretical framework for information literacy competitions from the perspective of human-machine symbiosis. The research reveals the evolution of core elements in information literacy competitions from “information literacy” to “data literacy” and further to “intelligent literacy”, and conducts an in-depth analysis of the characteristics of model updates based on the new framework. The practical trends of competitions show diverse features, such as deep integration in specialized fields, socialized and diversified organizational forms, and multi-layered interactive educational cores. It proposes that practice-oriented competitions serve as pilot initiatives for information literacy education in the era of digital and physical coexistence, promoting the transformation of information literacy education. This study aims to provide forward-looking insights and strategic recommendations for the transformation of information literacy competitions in the era of humanmachine symbiosis.
