Science Communication Hub: A New Model of Grassroots Public Cultural Services to Foster Scientific and Technological Innovation

Abstract: The combination of scientific popularization and grassroots public cultural services is aninnovative idea to implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee. It aims to establish high-quality mechanism for delivering public cultural resources directly to the grassroots communities through the development of science communication hub. It is of great significance forfurther deepening reform and promoting Chinese-style modernization. Through the analysis of the currentsituation of grassroots public cultural services in China, it is believed that its scientific popularization function has not been fully utilized, and it is necessary to build science communication hub in accordance with the characteristics of scientific popularization. It is necessary to establish a mechanism around the three basic elements of space, resources, and people, and from seven aspects of science popularization:subject, object, carrier, facility, form, concept and method, and personnel training, so as to promote thee ffective integration of science popularization and scientific and technological innovation.
