Teaching Design and Application of Information Literacy Courses under the TPACK Framework

Abstract:

With the development of information technology, integrating it with disciplinary teaching has become increasingly important. The Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework highlights the interplay between technological knowledge (TK), pedagogical knowledge (PK), and content knowledge (CK). This paper addresses the current status of information literacy curriculum reform and explores the application of the TPACK framework in instructional design and implementation from three aspects: teaching content, teaching methods, and teaching technology. Empirical research indicates that instructional designs based on the TPACK framework significantly enhance students’ abilities in literature retrieval, analytical reading, team collaboration, and related competencies.
