An Empirical Study on the Equalization of Basic Public Cultural Services in Jiangsu Province

Abstract

Abstract: Based on the statistical data of basic public cultural services in different cities in Jiangsu province in 2013-2016, and by adopting Gini coefficient method, a quantitative study on the equalization of basic public cultural services in Jiangsu is conducted. It is discovered that the level of its equalization is relatively high and with good quality. To promote the equalization of basic public cultural services with high quality and sustainability, we recommend addressing the vast difference in economic foundation, making use of characteristic historical and cultural resources, building multiple supply entities, adjusting input structure, and promoting the sharing of resources and the all-round urbanization.
