The Main Access Point and Edition of Authorized Photocopy Books in Western Languages: Comparison of the Selected Access Points in MARC21 and CNMARC Formats

Abstract: Due to the complexity of the authorized photocopy version of western language books, libraries disagree in terms of cataloging. Research has rarely been done from the perspective of access points on the selection of MARC21 or CNMARC as cataloging formats. The article summarizes the controversial issues for cataloguing this category of books, and, by way of comparative analysis, compares and studies the main search fields ISBN, title, responsible persons, series items, keywords, and editions, concluding the advantages and disadvantages of both methods in the hope of establishing a unified and standardized description rules.
