Abstract: The paper analyses the application of keywords co-occurrence cluster method, articles cocitation analysis method, strategic coordinate distribution method, high frequency word analysis method and data flow analysis method to hotspots and the research frontiers detection, and demonstrates the effectiveness and limitations of each method, providing optimizing options for subject information analysis. It proposes the combined use of different methods and increased participation of experts throughout the detection process to achieve objectivity and completeness of the research results.
