The Market of Bibliotherapy: Alain de Botton’s The School of Life and Its Enlightenment

Abstract: At present, the market-oriented bibliotherapy in our country is still in its infancy. Some culture companies and libraries are interested in its market-oriented operation which leads to the relevant case studies of abroad. By analyzing the overall situation and concrete market-oriented operation mode of bibliotherapy of Alain de Botton’s “The School of Life”, this article aims to provide some experience and enlightenment for some domestic entrepreneurs, culture companies and libraries. Five major suggestions are put forward which are starting bibliotherapy companies, forming teams of experts, popularizing bibliotherapy, developing bibliotherapy network and focusing on the coexistence of bibliotherapy with other therapies.
