Abstract:

Building authority files for journals are conducive to the management and authority control of the journal bibliographic information. Based on the analysis of application scenarios of journal authority file in NSTL digital business platform, this paper summarizes its two core requirements: resource descriptions &
retrievals, and data statistics & analysis. The paper addresses the issue of missing history information in NSTL Union Catalog System, and takes Ulrich journal as external supplement to complete the journal historical relations. As for the integration of journal titles in different external resources, it uses PubMed journal as an example to illustrate the point. Finally, sample data is validated by means of the prototype system.
