in-depth advancement of national reading, picture book reading has become an important carrierfor many public libraries in China to promote children‘s reading. In the context of high-qualitydevelopment, key strategies for enhancing the impact of picture book reading promotion include meetingchildren’s evolving reading needs, deepening professional research, providing refined and high-qualityreading services, and strengthening horizontal cooperation to create a systematic and collaborativedevelopment model. Promoting regional equity in children‘s reading services are the key ways to deepenthe effectiveness of picture book reading promotion in public libraries. This paper, drawing on the practicalexperience of Dongguan Library’s “Picture Book Library System Construction Project ”, explores theexperience and pathways of systematic and collaborative picture book reading services in public libraries, toprovide reference and inspiration for future innovation and expansion of library services in the new phase.
