Abstract: The paper explores the theoretical foundation and practical applications of reading therapy, identifying its current dilemma and limitations in research and practice. Based on these findings, an emotion-focused approach in reading therapy is proposed and applied through an intensive reading session on the book It’s Not Always Depression: Working the Change Triangle to Listen to the Body, Discover Core Emotions, and Connect to Your Authentic Self. By reflecting on the activities of the session, the paper identifies the achievements and areas for improvement. It aims to provide reference for the theoretical research and innovative application of reading therapy.
