Research on the Impacts of Reading on the Z-GenerationCollege Students’ Social Behaviors: Taking the SocialReading Platform “WeRead” as an Example

Abstract:

The popularity of mobile networks and social media has spawned the continuous evolutionof reading forms to socialization, and the reading mode rich in social attributes – “reading social hascome into being. Z-Generation college students who were born in the Internet era has natural adaptabilityto this new reading mode. In this paper, the reading and social behavior of Z-Generation college studentsis taken as the research object, and the influencing factor model and influencing factor configuration aresuccessively studied. Firstly, based on the survey data of 28 experts and user interviews, the influencingfactors of social reading and social behavior of Z-Generation college students were constructed by usinggrounded theory. Secondly, based on the questionnaire data of 122 case samples, the necessary conditionsand key combination conditions of Z-Generation college students social reading and social behaviorswere explored by the qualitative comparative analysis method. Corresponding suggestions were putforward for different behavior patterns. The conclusion of this paper is helpful to understand the readingdemands and social demands of Z-Generation groups, and to grasp their reading social behavior patterns.
