Evaluation of the Effect of Bibliotherapy in Tumor Patientsand Analysis of Its Implementation Factors

Abstract:

This meta-analysis aims to examine the effect of bibliotherapy on psychological statusamong cancer patients, focusing on the changes in psychological scores and factors influencing theeffectiveness of bibliotherapy. Nine intervention studies with a total of 704 patients were included andanalyzed statistically using RevMan 5.4 software. Pooled results showed that bibliotherapy could alleviatedepression, anxiety symptoms, and improve quality of life in patients with malignant tumors. Factorsinfluencing the effectiveness included venues of bibliotherapy implementation, professionals providingbibliotherapy, literature selection, and organizational forms. Bibliotherapy is effective among cancerpatients. Analysis of the influencing factors in the implementation process will facilitate future work
