Abstract:

The IFLA-LRM replaces FRBR, leading to innovations in standard of a series of metadatasuch as RDA, BIBFRAME, and MARC21, which bespeaks the breakthrough of library resources fromthe platform limitation, as well the library’s intent to increase Internet visibility, achieve reuse and sharingin the era of linked data. The newly added Explore task for users is the key to understand the constantupdating and iterating of multiple standard files. We should grasp the trend, break free from the fixedmindset of collection-centered thinking, and integrate explore into all aspects of library work. It willthen provide inspiration for innovation in the library industry and help us better serve the patrons of smartlibrary.
