Bi-directional Flow Dataset Between the Open-Stack and Closed-Stack Books at Hohai University Library in 2022

Abstract: The bi-directional flow data of the open-stack and closed-stack books of Hohai University Library in 2022 was collected through the Libstar Smart Library Service Platform. The content includes three parts: operational information, bibliography and collection information, and basic reader information. Then personal information was encrypted and irreversibly desensitized, resulting in a total of 71,927 records. The dataset can be used for evaluating the effectiveness of printed resource utilization and optimizing the development of printed resources in libraries. It can also be used for analyzing the characteristics and evolution of users’ borrowing behavior as well as providing precise and personalized knowledge and service recommendations to users. It has high scientific and practical value.
