Abstract:

The intelligent service of ancient books in the new era has far-reaching significance forpromoting the creative transformation and innovative development of China’s excellent traditional culture.This article, through an analysis of the current status of intelligent services for ancient books, summarizesthe evolutionary path of these services. Taking the research service scenario of sequels to classical novelsin the Shanghai Library as an example, the article analyzes the challenges in constructing intelligentservice scenarios for ancient books. By combining practice and technological developments, it deeplycontemplates the utilization of digital humanities and artificial intelligence technologies for intelligentservices on ancient books in the new era. It puts forward suggestions to actively employ cutting-edgetechnologies like ChatGPT to address practical issues in intelligent services for ancient books, enhancethe construction of ancient book corpora, explore new modes of knowledge organization, establish acollaborative ecosystem, and promote innovation in intelligent services for ancient books
