Abstract:

The 2023 Annual Conference of Library Society of China was held in Zhengzhou. The themeof the forth forum was “Connotation and Shaping of Professional Competence of Readers’ AdvisoryLibrarian”. Participating experts discussed the professionalization of reading development in libraries, theconnotation of professional competence of readers’ advisory librarians, professional practice ability andacademic research ability, and so forth. This article aims to share the main points and highlights of theconference and provide guidance for the professionalization of reading development.
