It is the firstprovincial chorography with more than 100 volumes in the history of Jiangxi Province, it is also amasterpiece of Jiangxi’s chorography. Unfortunately, Yuzhangshu has been lost and we only have afew research findings about the book. But in fact, this book has been widely quoted and corrected bymany local chorography of Jiangxi Province in the Qing Dynasty. Guo Zizhang’s Qiancao recorded thecomplete catalogue, notes and prefaces of Yuzhangshu. The compilation process and style characteristicsof Yuzhangshu can be understood through Qiancao. Yuzhangshu adopts a biographical style with morethan half of the characters’ biographies and adds memorabilia. At the same time, Guo Zizhang paid moreattention on historical and geographical contents and cataloging of local documents. The Yi Wenzhi surveyof this book is the first bibliography that specifically records books of Jiangxi province.
