Abstract: With the implementation of policies such as the Action Plan for Enhancing Digital Literacy and Skills for All, digital literacy education has become one of the research hotspots in the field of library science. In order to provide reference for the development of similar courses in China, the paper adopts the methods of network survey, comparative research, and inductive analogy to explore the current status and characteristics of digital literacy education in foreign library and information science (LIS) colleges. According to theoretical analysis and practical research, the content of the digital literacy courses is divided into six dimensions, including learning and operation, application and innovation, interaction and reflection, safety and ethics, interdisciplinary digital literacy, and digital empowerment of traditional courses. These courses are mapped with the above dimensions. Research shows that foreign LIS colleges have relatively complete systems, more balanced categories, better use of the advantages of LIS disciplines, and focus on both technology and humanistic orientation. These aspects are worthy of reference for domestic LIS colleges.
