Compilations and Explanations about Huang Shang’s Unpublished Colophons and Postscripts on the Collection of Books

Abstract: Huang Shang has abundant collection of books, and has written a large number of colophons and postscripts which have both academic and literary value. Most of these colophons and postscripts that are written in Huang Shang’s published works have been edited. But some of the colophons and postscripts, which be written in Huang’s unpublished works, have not been edited. While these old unpublished works have been collected by various libraries. Now, by collecting Huang Shang’s colophons and postscripts which have been found in six kinds of ancient books in the Shanghai library and the National Library together, then we can discern the process of the delivery and collection of all books by textual research, and explore the concept and characteristics of Huang Shang’s ancient book collection, so as to comprehensively understand Huang Shang’s collection of books and his colophons and
postscripts.
