Abstract:

Given the lack of information feedback path in the intelligent consulting model of theuniversity library, this paper constructed an intelligent consulting model based on the feedback principleof cybernetics. It examined the case of Nankai University Library. The Nankai model used the systemdata, such as patrons’ messages, unknown questions, and popular questions, to identify the real needsof patrons. The system adopted an administrator mechanism to analyze the user needs and convert theoutput information to input to the system. Therefore, the model can update the knowledge base, build aknowledge information circulation system, and use intelligent consulting services to improve the existingservices. The significance of proposed service feedback mechanism can solve the information updatedilemma of the intelligent consulting system to a certain extent, help optimize and extend library services, and integrate intelligent consulting services into the existing library service system.
