Abstract: Puxi Jia in The Extant Catalogue of Books in Japan records seven volumes of genealogy including royal genealogy, concise genealogy of nobility and Buddhist genealogy. The names and records of Puxi Jia obviously inherit those of Puxi Chapter of Shi Bu in the Jingji Zhi of Suishu( Book of Sui). The current research shows that Puxi Jia in The Extant Catalogue of Books in Japan not only enriches the bibliography of the volumes of genealogy in medieval China, but also provides new materials and new insights in this aspect.
