Digital Humanities towards New Liberal Arts: A Systematic Review of the Third China Digital Humanities Conference

Abstract: China Digital Humanities Conference is one of the leading academic conferences on digital humanities research in China. It is also an important platform to strengthen the exchange and cooperation of scholars, display theoretical and practical achievements, and explore the future development path of digital humanities. From November 6 to 7, 2021, the third session of the conference was held at Nanjin 
University with the theme of “Digital Humanities towards New Liberal Arts”. This paper summarized the expert reports, discussions, youth forum, and case studies in the meeting to introduce the new ideas and achievements in the field of digital humanities. In general, the conference focused on the frontier and hot issues of digital humanities research under the background of new liberal arts development, discussed the production paradigm of digital humanities knowledge in depth, and fully demonstrated the research results in digital humanities. Digital humanities presents the trend of continuous expansion of discipline boundaries, continuous deepening of cross integration, continuous enrichment of research perspectives,and continuous innovation of research technology.
