Abstract: Omeka S is an open source content management system (CMS) for libraries, museums, and archives to construct the database of special collection. This paper first introduces Omeka S and its typical cases in various fields, then introduces the annual spectrum database platform, and finally describes the process of using Omeka S to build the Chinese Chronology Database Platform in details, in order to provide advice for other domestic institutions to use Omeka S to build a digital collection platform.
