Abstract: The article explores the scope, data sources, and distribution methods of China’s national bibliography during the Republic of China period. It is emphasized that national bibliography is “an authoritative and comprehensive record of all publications in a country” and that it should be constructed in accordance with the principle of “territory-language”. It is recommended to adopt a parallel model of database and printed edition. It is a long-term and continuous process.
