Abstract: The development of library e-books distribution in China has rationally emphasized quality and copyright instead of emphasizing quantity only in the early stage. However, there are also many problems such as less variety of new books, low synchronization rate of paper and electronic books, nonuniform formats and standards, difficulties of integration, absence of pricing mechanism, and imbalance between supply and demand. Through analysis it was found that e-books acquisition and distribution have been facing four bottlenecks: copyright protection, market chains, new books purchasing and trading, and business application standardization. To optimize the application path of Chinese e-books acquisition and distribution, it proposes strategies in five ways, namely, building the National Copyright Certification Platform of e-books, carrying out flexible and diverse e-books sales mode, promoting the standardization of e-books marketing platforms, building a pricing mechanism, and implementing PDA procurement mode.
