Abstract: Sieu-mai Cheng was an important librarian in Taiwan, China, who devoted herself to the development of children’s libraries for many years. Using oral history interviews, documentary and historical methods, this paper outlines the life and career trajectories of Sieu-mai Cheng and summarizes her contributions to nurturing excellence, integrating the development of children’s libraries and children’s literature, and shaping advanced children’s librarians.
