Abstract: This paper investigates the technical system of digital resources preservation and access service in Harvard University Library. By summarizing the design ideas of data model and metadata application profile, analyzing the architecture of service technology, and discussing the core functions and services from four aspects (namely, the submission and ingestion of digital objects, management and storage of digital objects, resource discovery and location, resource delivery and access), this paper aims to provide reference for domestic libraries.
